Today on the TVP2 program “Operation health,” our doctor Urszula Leończak specialized in root canal treatment participated.
In an interview with journalist Małgorzata Wiśniewska, Dr. Leończak discussed topics related to conservative dentistry and the latest dental techniques that have evolved over the past years.
Ms. Wiśniewska asked: “I read that as many as 95% of Poles have cavities, where does this come from? What causes this condition?”
“Cavities are an infectious disease of bacterial origin, so if we get infected once with cariogenic bacteria, we have them for life… and what we do at home with our oral cavity is crucial for the development of cavities.” – explained Urszula Leończak.
In the further part of the interview, the topic of root canal treatment was discussed, as well as the problem of bruxism and other aspects of conservative dentistry.
